Let’s do 52 – week 7

Week 7 of “Let’s do 52“. Last week our theme was Linear, this one is Pretty Ugly, find the beauty in things many may consider ugly.

This week I went to visit my aunt who lives in a gorgeous green location near a small wood. There’s also a (dangerous) river there, the water is always brownish because of the sand and clay soil, so it’s not exactly pretty. It was nearly sunset and the light was special, I think there’s beauty in it…

Knitted

I’ve been knitting A LOT lately. Here are my latest projects, finished and on the making:

Jane cardigan, sized 12 months. Beautiful pattern. Ravelry notes here.

Tea Leaves Cardigan for me, my favourite knitted cardigan so far :)

An improvised cowl inspired by this pattern. I used a skein of Baby Alpaca yarn that came all the way from New Zealand as a gift. Softest thing ever!

Milo vest, here on Ravelry.

Pretty stitch marker detail:

On a side note, I’ve updated the About and Links pages and changed the css a bit. I can’t wait for the domain to expire, still have to come up with a new name and url because the current one doesn’t “fit” anymore.

Let’s do 52 – week 6

Week 6 already! Last week’s theme was Liquid, this one is Linear.

Another photo taken in a rush, I’m super busy preparing stuff and studying so no time to do any better (let’s pretend the the tablecloth is lying flat and lines are not messy at all…) The theme was simple and yet I couldn’t think of anything else.

10 on 10 – February 2012

Another photography project! It’s called Ten on Ten as the challenge is to document one day, with ten pictures, posting the 10th day of each month.
I joined a great group of talented photographers, so glad I get to participate :) At the end of our post, each one of us will link to another photographer’s post, so everyone can see the whole circle.

Unfortunately my day was not so exciting. As pictured it included:
- morning coffee
- studying
- knit break
- a package in the mail (always thrilling!)
- company from my precious kittycat, he was napping while I was busy with uni stuff. Isn’t he sweet for reminding me I’m no longer on holidays?
- sawing buttons on my last knitted cardigan
- quick peek outside the house
- fresh view from the balcony
- and *sigh* more studying

I bet next month will be completely different!

Now make sure to continue the circle by visiting Sarah’s delightful post.

Summer so far

Definitely one of the hottest and most unbearable. But there was a wedding, time spent outside in the middle of nowhere, close up experiments, heavy storms and sunsets (and now a lot of studying).
