Knitted

I’ve been knitting A LOT lately. Here are my latest projects, finished and on the making:

Jane cardigan, sized 12 months. Beautiful pattern. Ravelry notes here.

Tea Leaves Cardigan for me, my favourite knitted cardigan so far :)

An improvised cowl inspired by this pattern. I used a skein of Baby Alpaca yarn that came all the way from New Zealand as a gift. Softest thing ever!

Milo vest, here on Ravelry.

Pretty stitch marker detail:

On a side note, I’ve updated the About and Links pages and changed the css a bit. I can’t wait for the domain to expire, still have to come up with a new name and url because the current one doesn’t “fit” anymore.

Summer so far

Definitely one of the hottest and most unbearable. But there was a wedding, time spent outside in the middle of nowhere, close up experiments, heavy storms and sunsets (and now a lot of studying).

Let’s do 52 – week 1

I’m jumping in! I found 52 weeks by Paint the Moon and just couldn’t resist.
I wanted to do something to document 2012, as I barely picked up the camera in 2011… it’s a themed project but is not really strict. I hope I won’t end up like the 30 Days of Christmas I did once, taking pictures because I had to, not because I wanted.
Anyhow, some weeks will be documented randomly because I’m lazy and I don’t put myself into it if I don’t want to, not going to fry my brain trying to come up with something special each week (as some people did, but I’m not nearly as talented)

The theme of the week is Sharing, what a better time for sharing than New Year’s celebrations right?
I’ve added the project’s button in my sidebar, click for details if you’re interested in doing the same :)

1st post of 2012 and a list I won’t keep up

I never make New Year’s resolutions, always thought it was kind of stupid. And I never, ever, keep up with these things. I guess I’m just bored but I’ll give it a go (as I type I feel like I’m making fun of myself hehe)

- be more spontaneous and relaxed
- meet new people in England
- travel as much as possible
- find a job when I come back
- take finals
- learn how to walk on high heels
- start (and possibly complete) a photography project

That’s it. To complicate things even more, I want to start the 52 weeks project (I wanted to make it a themed project but knowing myself I’m already going to have a hard time keeping it up with random photos).

Pictures of week #1 will be posted later this week, in the meantime here are some photos from New Year’s:

What boredom and nostalgia lead to

Classes and finals are over but I don’t dare to say “finally over”. I’m nuts, I know, but this year was the best university year for me and since I’m not going back to classes next year… I guess I’m a little nostalgic. Half of me can’t wait to start again in 2013 and the other half is so excited to leave for the UK in – 2 months (!!!)

Anyway, I’m so not into the holidays spirit this year (oh If I could just go to sleep and wake up on January 1st…) but have a bunch of free time so I decided to start knitting a few things to take with me to England.

Mittens. I have to say, I’m pretty proud of these. ‘Modeled’ by the sister:

Another pair in the making:

Baby cardigan for a future baby in the family:
